Metarhizium anisopliae is a naturally occurring soil fungus that’s found throughout the world. Metarhizium anisopliae is parasitoid that causes green Muscardine disease and death in a wide range of insect pests. M. anisopliae, is used as a bio pesticide in conventional and organic agriculture. Metarhizium anisopliae has been used to combat over 200 insect species.
